Family members are mourning the loss of 10-year-old Tucker Sizemore, who was killed in a car crash in Georgia that also left his father and sister injured.

According to the Cobb County Police Department, a Nissan Frontier pickup truck crossed the center turn lane on Veterans Memorial Highway in Mableton around 7:15 p.m. local time on Oct. 3 and crashed into a Honda Odyssey minivan near Pebblebrook Road, ABC affiliate WSB reported.

Inside the minivan were 40-year-old Clinton Sizemore, his 10-year-old son Tucker, and his 13-year-old daughter Amelia. The family was reportedly on their way to visit Ashley — identified by WSB as Tucker and Amelia’s mother — while she recovered from a planned medical procedure, according to a GoFundMe campaign created to support the family.

Tucker was airlifted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where he died three days later, per the fundraiser. He was an organ donor, and his mother said his donations have already helped save the lives of four other children.

“It’s hard, but I’m leaning on my faith,” Ashley said. “God’s got us. He’s got me. And I’ve got to remember that.”

She described Tucker as a straight-A student and talented dancer. “He was just a light every day,” she said. “He was different, but that’s what made him who he was.”

Amelia, who suffered minor injuries in the crash, recalled her brother’s deep faith. “He knew a lot about Jesus,” she said. “He would always preach to the pastor at our church, and it made our pastor crack up.”

Clinton remains hospitalized with multiple injuries, including broken ribs, a cracked sternum, and a shattered right leg. Ashley said she expects her husband will need to stay in the hospital for another three or four weeks. Two people in the Nissan also sustained serious injuries, though their current conditions remain unclear.

As of Thursday, Oct. 16, nearly $10,000 has been raised through GoFundMe to support the Sizemore family with medical bills, food, travel costs, and their mortgage while Clinton recovers.

“Thank you so much for your prayers and blessings,” wrote Allie Biddle, the fundraiser’s organizer.
