Three minors were stabbed in separate incidents in Brooklyn and Queens on Thursday, Dec. 18, the New York Police Department said.

The first stabbing was reported around 3 p.m. local time at a playground near Thomas S. Boylan St. and Dumont Ave. in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Responding officers found a 12-year-old boy with a stab wound to the chest.

EMS transported the boy to Brooklyn Health–Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

Two individuals were taken into custody, and the investigation was ongoing, police said.

Later, just before 5 p.m., officers responded to another 911 call reporting that two minors had been stabbed near Seneca Ave. and Palmetto St. in Ridgewood, Queens.

Police said a 13-year-old boy suffered a stab wound to the chest, and a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the back. Both were taken to a local hospital and were in stable condition.

No arrests had been made in that incident, and the investigation remained ongoing.

The stabbings came two days after a separate attack in Queens, when a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the abdomen while riding an MTA bus in the Jamaica neighborhood. He was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jamaica Hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.

Police said the suspect exited the bus at Parsons Boulevard and 82 Drive and fled on foot. The suspect was last seen wearing a burgundy jacket, teal sweatpants, black socks, white sneakers, and carrying a black purse, according to an NYPD news release.
