Authorities in Texas are investigating the deaths of three people — an adult man, an adult woman, and a young child — in what appears to be a murder-suicide.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) said in a statement that deputies discovered the victims outside a residence in Conroe on Thursday, Oct. 23, after responding to a call around 3:45 p.m. local time.
Investigators did not release details about the victims’ exact locations, the nature of their injuries, or the circumstances leading up to the tragedy. Montgomery County Major Crimes detectives and crime scene investigators began processing the scene immediately.
“Preliminary facts and evidence suggest the incident is believed to be a murder-suicide involving one adult male, one adult female, and one child,” the sheriff’s office said in its statement.
Police later identified the deceased as 52-year-old Salvador Ramirez and 39-year-old Maria Ramirez. The child, a 3-year-old boy, was not named publicly.

“This is a tragic event,” Montgomery County Sheriff Wesley Doolittle said during a press conference, according to Click2Houston. “It will shock people’s conscience to see this kind of thing happening in our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family members, especially those who discovered this horrible incident.”
The sheriff’s office added that the initial investigation indicates the deaths were an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Neighbors expressed disbelief at the tragedy. Carlos Delgado, who lives nearby, told Click2Houston that such violence was unheard of in their typically quiet neighborhood.
“It’s scary, it’s dangerous,” Delgado said. “Something like that happened too close to our house.”
The investigation remains ongoing, authorities said.
