Two students and three adults were hurt when a bus that transports students with special needs crashed into an SUV this week in Pennsylvania, police said.

The Bethlehem Township Police Department responded to the accident, which involved a passenger vehicle and the bus, around 4:35 p.m. local time on Tuesday, Sept. 2. The crash happened at an intersection in Bethlehem Township, Northampton County.

Police said their initial investigation shows the passenger vehicle was stopped in a westbound lane, waiting to turn left and head south. The school bus was traveling west when it reached the intersection.

“At some point, the bus hit the back of the stopped vehicle waiting to turn left,” police said. “Both vehicles had moderate damage and had to be towed.”
