A woman has died and two other people were injured after a multi-vehicle crash in Huntsville, Alabama.
Authorities said 77-year-old Marina Hoeppner was killed in the incident, which happened around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, at Providence Main Street and Highway 72, according to WAFF, WHNT and Newsline.
Hoeppner was riding as a passenger in a vehicle that collided with another car, the outlets reported. Both drivers were injured and taken to the hospital—one in critical condition and the other with minor injuries, according to WAFF. Hoeppner was pronounced dead at the scene, Newsline reported.

After a preliminary investigation, police believe one vehicle turned left in front of an oncoming car, per WAFF and WHNT.
The Huntsville Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. No criminal charges have been filed, WAFF reported.
The crash was reported one day after another multi-vehicle collision in Huntsville that killed a man near the Memorial Parkway and Mount Charron intersection, according to WHNT. Authorities said a vehicle traveling southbound on Memorial Parkway crossed into oncoming traffic and struck another car.
The victim was identified as 27-year-old Kevin Corbin by Madison County Coroner Dr. Tyler Berryhill. Huntsville Emergency Medical Services Inc. spokesperson Don Webster told AL.com that two other people were taken to Huntsville Hospital Trauma Services. They reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were listed in stable condition.
