Jennifer Lopez isn’t letting a little wardrobe malfunction ruin her birthday vibes.
While celebrating her 56th birthday during a concert stop in Warsaw, Poland, on July 24, Lopez had an unexpected moment when her sparkling gold skirt dropped to the floor mid-performance—right as the crowd broke into a chorus of “Happy Birthday.” The pop icon laughed off the mishap and kept the show going, strutting confidently around the stage in her bodysuit.
“I’m out here in my underwear,” Lopez joked to the cheering crowd. Then, in classic J.Lo fashion, she tossed the skirt into the audience and quipped, “I’m glad I had underwear on. I don’t usually wear underwear.”
To the lucky fan who caught the piece of pop history, she added, “Yes! You can keep it. I don’t want it back.”
The moment, which happens around the two-minute mark of the concert video, quickly went viral and further cemented Lopez’s status as an unshakable live performer.
The show at PGE Narodowy Stadium was part of Lopez’s Up All Night Live Tour, her first concert tour in six years. The tour kicked off July 8 in Spain and follows last year’s canceled This Is Me… Live Tour, which was scrapped amid reports of low ticket sales and personal upheaval, including her split from Ben Affleck. Their divorce was finalized earlier this year.
“I was so devastated to let anybody down,” Lopez told Interview Magazine in a recent conversation with Nikki Glaser. “But I needed to be with my kids and myself… It was probably the hardest time of my life—but also the best, because I got to really do the work on myself.”

Now back onstage and connecting with fans, Lopez said, “I have the most understanding and loving fans in the world. Some fan bases can be spicy—mine are just a bunch of lovers.”
The Up All Night tour will span 19 dates across Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia, wrapping up on August 10 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Lopez is also set to return to theaters this fall in Kiss of the Spider Woman, a musical drama directed by Bill Condon. The film, adapted from Manuel Puig’s novel, hits theaters October 10.
