President Donald Trump sharply criticized radio host Charlamagne tha God, calling him a “low IQ individual” after the media personality suggested that conservative Republicans might use the Jeffrey Epstein files to reclaim control of the GOP from the MAGA movement.
Trump dismissed Charlamagne’s remarks, stating the host “has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth, and knows nothing about me or what I have done.”
In recent weeks, Trump has tried to steer the MAGA base’s attention away from the Epstein case. Epstein died in prison on August 10, 2019, while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges.
What Charlamagne Said
During an appearance on Fox News, Charlamagne tha God—real name Lenard McKelvey—spoke with Lara Trump, President Trump’s daughter-in-law.
“I think that traditional conservatives are going to take the Republican Party back,” McKelvey said, claiming that the Epstein files could become a rallying point for non-MAGA Republicans.
“I think they know this is the issue that has gotten the base riled up. The MAGA base isn’t letting this issue go, and for the first time, they know they can probably take the party back and not piss off the MAGA base.”
Trump Fires Back
Responding on Truth Social, Trump slammed McKelvey as a “sleazebag.” He questioned, “Why is he allowed to use the word ‘GOD’ when describing himself? Can anyone imagine the uproar there would be if I used that nickname?”
Calling him a “low IQ individual,” Trump reiterated that Charlamagne “has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth.”
The Epstein case continues to spark widespread speculation and conspiracy theories. While the official ruling on Epstein’s death is suicide, many suspect foul play and believe powerful individuals may be shielding information related to his network.
As the 2024 presidential election approaches, Trump has accused Democrats of suppressing the truth and vowed to release files connected to the Epstein investigation if he is reelected.
