Country singer Alexis Wilkins is speaking up about her relationship with FBI Director Kash Patel, who is 19 years older than her.
Wilkins, 26, and Patel, 45, have been together for more than two years after meeting through a mutual friend in Nashville, Tennessee. Some people have commented on their age difference, but Wilkins told the Daily Mail she doesn’t see it as a big deal.
“There are a lot of couples with age differences, even in this administration,” she said. “There’s no need to justify something like that.”
While she didn’t mention names, President Donald Trump, 79, and First Lady Melania Trump, 55, have a 24-year age gap. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, 27, and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, 59, have 32 years between them.
Wilkins says Patel’s character and values are what matter most to her. “He’s exactly who he is all the time. His character is incredible, his values are incredible, and we’re both very patriotic,” she said.
Recently, Wilkins has been the target of conspiracy theories linking her to Israel and the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. Some rumors claim she’s a “honeypot” sent to influence Patel and hide Epstein-related information.
Wilkins denied these claims on The Megyn Kelly Show, pointing out that her relationship with Patel began before he became FBI Director. “It would have been a really long-game play,” she joked. She also told the Daily Mail that she has even blocked the word “honeypot” from her Instagram comments.
According to her Spotify bio, Wilkins is a “country music artist, writer, and political commentator” who brings “grit, patriotism, and an unapologetic voice” to her work. Her latest single, “Quite Like Whiskey,” came out in 2023.
