After their wedding, a bride and groom were looking through their wedding photos when they noticed something strange — two of their guests didn’t appear in any pictures. Later, they found out why.
The groom shared the story on Reddit in a group called “Wedding Shaming.” He explained that the couple had carefully planned where everyone would sit at the reception. They wanted to make sure all their guests felt welcome and enjoyed the party, not just came to celebrate them.
They also worked with their parents because many guests were family friends. The goal was to help people meet and get along.
A few weeks after the wedding, while looking at the photos, the groom told his mom he couldn’t find any pictures of Wife A and Husband A at the reception, even though they were clearly there during the ceremony.

His mom was confused too — then Wife A called and explained what happened.
She and her husband didn’t like where the bride and groom had seated them and who they had to sit with. Feeling offended, they decided to leave the wedding early.
The groom said they had put these guests at a table with friends and people they thought would get along with professionally. The two guests had been family friends for a long time, and the couple had even hosted a bridal shower for their daughter.
The groom was upset that they not only left the wedding (where the couple had paid for their meals) but also called his mom to say they had left — and didn’t leave a gift.
Even though the couple was disappointed, they quickly moved on. They said the wedding was beautiful and everyone else had a great time. But they were shocked by how entitled some people can be.
Many people reading the story online agreed it was strange that the guests left over where they were seated.
One commenter said, “Some people get offended by the smallest things.”
Another added, “The wedding day is about the couple getting married, not the guests.”
Someone joked, “Maybe she was sitting with all her exes, like in that movie Four Weddings and a Funeral!”
They said, “I can’t imagine why she couldn’t just deal with it for a couple of hours, especially since she had her husband to talk to.”
