Hunter Biden dismissed First Lady Melania Trump’s $1 billion legal notice, which claims he made false and harmful statements about her.
In a new interview with YouTuber Andrew Callaghan, Biden reacted to the legal threat with profanity, saying, “F— that. That’s not gonna happen.”
Earlier this month, in a “Channel 5” interview titled Hunter Biden Returns, Biden claimed that Jeffrey Epstein introduced Melania to Donald Trump. Melania Trump’s legal team says this is completely false and damaging to her reputation.
During the interview, Callaghan told Biden that Melania was demanding the video be taken down and that he issue a public apology. Biden refused and said he wasn’t afraid of the lawsuit.
“I think they’re bullies, and they think a billion dollars is going to scare me,” Biden said. He even invited Melania and President Trump to join a legal deposition to discuss their alleged ties to Epstein.
Fox News Digital obtained a letter from Melania Trump’s lawyer, Alejandro Brito, sent to Biden and his attorney on August 6. The letter demanded Biden retract his statements and apologize immediately or face legal action to recover damages for what they call “overwhelming financial and reputational harm.”
Brito wrote that the statements in the YouTube interview were “false, defamatory, and inflammatory,” and that they had been widely spread by media outlets and political commentators, reaching tens of millions of people.
So far, Biden has not issued any retraction or apology, and his lawyer has not responded to requests for comment.
