A Milwaukee woman is facing a felony charge after allegedly causing about $10,000 in damage to a DoorDash driver’s vehicle over a failed chicken wings order.
On July 11, driver Faith Morris picked up a late-night “high-priced” order that was nearby, she told Fox 6 Milwaukee, explaining that she brought her kids along when she went to collect the food.
Shortly after, Morris’ phone service was cut off because of an overdue bill, leaving her unable to complete the delivery, according to the outlet.
“Within five minutes, T-Mobile shuts my phone off. I’m shocked,” Morris told Fox 6 Milwaukee. “We pull up to the location but the address will not load because my app won’t load anymore. I sit outside the customer’s house for 10 minutes and [was] calling T-Mobile to see if they’ll turn my phone back on.”
When she eventually returned home, the customer accused her of stealing the food, according to the outlet.
TMJ4 News reported that the customer, identified as Janiyah Jones, was allegedly able to track Morris to her home and called her repeatedly for about an hour after the failed order.

“There’s no way that she should have been able to call me for an hour after this happened. An hour? It’s absolutely insane,” Morris said, per TMJ4 News.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by PEOPLE, Jones, 22, allegedly threw a brick at Morris’ car and struck it multiple times with a tire iron, shattering the windows.
“It was so crazy how the glass was just raining from the sky when she was hitting it,” Morris told TMJ4 News.
Morris said she has been unable to work as a delivery driver since the attack, the outlet noted.
Police investigators matched Ring doorbell video footage with body camera footage from a previous crash involving the suspect earlier this year, according to the complaint. They confirmed Jones’ identity through DoorDash records that linked her cellphone number.

Authorities estimated the damage to Morris’ vehicle at more than $10,000.
“She did this over a ten-piece chicken wing! She passed Fryerz to come here,” Morris said in frustration on Aug. 5, per TMJ4 News.
A DoorDash spokesperson told PEOPLE, “This customer’s actions are completely uncalled for, unacceptable, and disturbing. We have permanently banned them from our platform and are in touch with the Dasher directly to offer our support.”
The company also stressed that it never shares or reveals a delivery worker’s home address to customers.
