Luke, a nurse and mother of two, was remembered by her family in a statement obtained by The Courier-Mail as “a remarkable woman who touched countless lives with her warmth, generosity, and unwavering kindness.”

They described her as “a devoted mother, daughter, sister, niece, aunty and friend” who “gave love so freely that everyone who knew her felt like part of her family.”

“Through her compassion and gentle spirit, she carried the power to comfort, encourage, and uplift others, leaving behind memories that will be cherished forever,” the statement read.

The family added that Luke “filled every moment with care and an open heart,” noting her dedication to nursing was “a true reflection of who she was.”

“Even in the midst of her own struggles, she found the strength to tend to the needs of others, embodying selflessness in every sense. Her legacy is not only in the countless lives she healed, but in the love and light she brought to the world each day,” they continued.

“Though we grieve her passing deeply, we celebrate the beautiful soul we were so fortunate to know, and we carry her spirit forward in the kindness we show to one another,” the family said, asking for privacy and respect during this time.

Luke had worked at Nundah Doctors Surgery for 20 years. In a statement shared on the clinic’s website, colleagues described her as “a most empathic and caring human being, nurse, mother, and friend.”

“Carra has been with us for 20 years and was the heart and soul of the practice. She cared for her patients and helped them through the most difficult times with the greatest professionalism and dedication. She is irreplaceable, and we will miss her every day. She will always remain in our hearts here at the practice. To all our dear patients and friends of the practice, thank you for your support, care, and love,” the statement concluded.
