One step closer to “End Game” — Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially engaged!

The Cruel Summer singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 35, revealed their engagement in a joint Instagram post on Tuesday, Aug. 26. The announcement featured several photos from a garden proposal filled with flowers.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” Swift joked in the caption.

Kelce designed the engagement ring with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry, opting for an “old mine brilliant cut” stone. Swift proudly showed it off in the announcement photos, including one of Kelce kneeling as she placed a hand on his face. Other shots captured the couple embracing beneath a pink-and-white floral trellis.

Earlier this month, Swift made her debut on the New Heights podcast, where Guinness World Records confirmed she helped set a record for “the most concurrent views for a podcast on YouTube” with 1.3 million on Aug. 13. On the episode, she not only revealed details about her upcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, but also spoke openly about her relationship with Kelce — hinting that they now live together.

“I knew that he wasn’t crazy the first couple of times that we talked,” Swift said. “He’s truly getting to know me in a way that’s very natural, very pure, very normal.” She added that Kelce could make her laugh “so immediately, about normal things,” describing him as a “vibe booster in everyone’s life.”

Kelce also reflected on their relationship in July, sharing a sweet Instagram post: “Had some adventures this offseason, kept it 💯.” The photos included glimpses of their trips, coordinated outfits, and even their lock screens featuring each other. Fans also spotted Swift trying on his thick-framed glasses and the pair wearing matching hats labeled “captain” and “first mate.”

The couple’s romance began in July 2023 when Kelce attended Swift’s Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium. He later admitted he tried to give her a friendship bracelet with his number but never got the chance. A few months later, rumors began when Swift made a surprise appearance at one of his games, watching from his suite with his mom, Donna, before leaving together.

In her Time 2023 Person of the Year interview, Swift clarified that by the time she attended her first Chiefs game, they were already a couple. “Some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date,” she said.

She and Kelce were also spotted in New York City holding hands after their joint Saturday Night Live appearance in October 2023 and attended the Chiefs’ holiday party in December.
