Bella Hadid shared a series of photos on Instagram on Wednesday, Sept. 17, showing herself resting in a hospital bed with IV bags nearby.
“I’m sorry I always go MIA I love you guys,” the 28-year-old model wrote in the caption.
The pictures showed Hadid lying in bed with a small crochet angel beside her, eating pizza, and enjoying views of the sunset and a rainbow outside her window. She also shared photos of an outdoor garden, time spent with family and friends, and playing cards. In the final photo, she appeared in an elevator with wet hair, holding a coffee cup.

Her mother, Yolanda Hadid, praised her as a “❤️Lyme warrior” in the comments. Her sister, Gigi Hadid, added, “I love you! I hope [you] feel as strong and good as u deserve, soon!!!!!!” Actress Nikki Reed also sent support, writing, “Sending you love, light and positive thoughts for healing ❤️.”
While Bella did not share why she was hospitalized this time, she has spoken openly about her health struggles. In 2023, she revealed she was “finally healthy” after enduring “100+ days of Lyme, chronic disease, [co-infection] treatment [and] almost 15 years of invisible suffering.”

“The little me that suffered would be so proud of grown me for not giving up on myself🫶🏼,” she reflected in that post. She also thanked her mother for keeping medical records, staying by her side, and always believing her.

Hadid was first diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012, along with Yolanda and her younger brother, Anwar. She told PEOPLE in 2016 that life with Lyme was difficult, especially while working as a model. “Life isn’t always what it looks like on the outside,” she said at the time. “The hardest part of this journey is to be judged by the way you look instead of the way you feel.”
