U.S. President Donald Trump is reportedly showing a strong fascination with Prince William as preparations continue for his second official State Visit to the United Kingdom, according to a report by GBN Britain.

An insider claims Trump is “obsessed” with the Prince of Wales, especially as Prince William’s diplomatic role continues to grow in anticipation of his future as monarch. The two recently met in Paris at Trump’s request, following the reopening of the Notre-Dame Cathedral.

The meeting was described as “warm,” with Trump calling William “very handsome,” a “good man,” and someone doing a “fantastic job.”

A source told The Times, “Trump seems obsessed with him, which is fantastic for the UK. He just has to smile at Trump and we get an extra cut in tariffs. Who does that remind you of? The late Queen, who had a nose for the strategic.”

The two are expected to meet again during Trump’s visit this autumn. While William continues to build international ties, King Charles is also engaging in diplomacy. On a recent visit to Ottawa, the King focused on maintaining U.S.-Canada relations, especially after Trump once remarked that Canada should become the “51st state.”

This fall’s visit will mark Trump’s second official State Visit to the UK—something no other modern U.S. president has been granted twice. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer personally delivered King Charles’s invitation during a White House meeting.

The invitation suggested a meeting at either Dumfries House or Balmoral, both royal residences in Scotland. Trump has personal ties to Scotland—his mother was born on the Hebridean island of Lewis, and this year he plans to open a golf course in Aberdeenshire named in her honor.
