Authorities in Michigan are searching for a 22-year-old woman who disappeared just two weeks before her due date, leaving her family and fiancé desperate for answers.
Rebecca Kay Park was last seen in the Cadillac/Boon Township area, according to a bulletin shared by the Wexford County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Deputies reported that Park was seen around 11:30 p.m. local time on Monday, Nov. 3, according to 9&10 News.
Officials noted that Park is 38 weeks pregnant — only two weeks away from reaching full term.
Her fiancé, Richard Falor, told 9&10 News that Park was last seen getting into the passenger seat of a dark-colored vehicle outside her mother’s home on S. 21 ½ Road in Boon Township.
Falor recalled that Park told her mother, “Hold on. I got somebody to pick me up. This is just something I’ve got to do. I’m sorry.” After that, she entered the sedan — and, according to Falor, “nobody’s heard from her since.”
Her phone was later found on a two-track road across from her mother’s house. “Anybody that knows Becca knows she doesn’t go anywhere without her phone,” Falor said.
Falor said he does not know who picked Park up that night, adding that the couple is “always in contact.”
Park’s due date is Nov. 18. “Me, her mom and sister, we’ve all been calling the hospitals,” Falor said. “I just want to know that she’s safe. Our son is safe.”
The WCSO described Park as 5-foot-2 and about 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black coat, light blue jeans, gray shoes, and carrying a black bag, according to 9&10 News.
