Actor and activist George Clooney believes that former President Donald Trump’s political career is nearing its end.
In an interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN, Clooney said that although he is aware of the risks involved in speaking out against Trump, he refuses to be silenced by fear.
“Of course, people worry about the consequences,” Clooney admitted. “But if you spend your life in fear, you’ll never take action.”
Clooney, who shares twins Alexander and Ella with his wife, international human rights attorney Amal Clooney, emphasized the importance of setting a strong example for their children.
“We have a family, we have a life, and we try to live in a way that reflects our values,” he said. “I want to be able to look my kids in the eye and tell them where I stood and what I did during important moments in history. I’m proud to do that.”
Clooney concluded with a confident prediction: “Trump will be finished.”
