Scott Kelly has officially taken his viral moment to late-night TV.
On Thursday, Nov. 13, the job candidate who became an internet sensation after a TikTok user filmed someone reviewing his résumé during a Jonas Brothers concert appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon — where he finally met the pop trio, who had previously backed him up in the comments section of the original video.
Kelly, who spoke earlier that day with The Washington Post, told Jimmy Fallon that he learned of his unexpected fame from a friend who texted while he was in an MBA class. Soon after, he recognized the man reading his résumé — Brandon Bieron — because they served together in the same U.S. Army infantry battalion at Fort Drum in 2014.
In a twist, Kelly revealed he had never actually applied for a job. He told the Post he is “gainfully employed” at a telecommunications company. But the viral encounter ended up reconnecting him with Bieron, who runs Reimer Home Services and focuses on hiring veterans. Kelly said Bieron will now appear on a future episode of his national security podcast, At the Water’s Edge.
As Fallon and the Jonas Brothers listened to Kelly share his story, he surprised them again.
“Can I share a real thing? I had never heard of you before this,” Kelly joked. “I didn’t have Disney Channel growing up — I didn’t know!”
Fallon wrapped the segment by directing viewers to Kelly’s LinkedIn profile via a QR code.
The TikTok That Started It All
The original video, posted Monday, Nov. 10 and now amassing nearly 50 million views on TikTok, was captured by Jen Wilson. She noticed an audience member — Bieron — intensely reading a résumé mid-concert. “scott kelly your resume was being reviewed at a jonas brothers concert tonight. good luck,” she wrote in the clip.
Fans — along with the Jonas Brothers themselves — quickly rallied behind Kelly, hoping he would land the mystery job.

Nick Jonas joked in the comments, “Scott Kelly’s work ethic and critical thinking inspired me to write the line ‘red dress.’”
Joe Jonas chimed in, “Bro, Scott Kelly was there for me plenty of times. Hired ✅.”
And Kevin Jonas added, “I’m one of Scott Kelly’s references.”

Kelly’s unexpected fan club continued to grow as major brands joined the comment frenzy:
