Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, appears to be staying close to his family after moving his studies to Washington, D.C., ahead of his sophomore year.
During a recent White House tour with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, the president hinted that Barron is currently living at the executive residence. The topic came up as they reviewed the decorative changes and renovations Donald has made during his second term. When asked if any of his children share his meticulous attention to detail, the president praised all five: Don Jr., Ivanka, Eric, Tiffany and Barron, emphasizing that each has different strengths.
“Barron’s going to be tremendous,” he said. “He is very meticulous.”
With a smile, he added that Barron is “right upstairs,” referring to the family’s living spaces in the upper floors of the White House.
Barron, 19, is reportedly studying business at New York University. He transferred from NYU’s main Manhattan campus to its Washington, D.C., campus at the start of his second year, a move that brings him physically closer to his parents.
Forbes has noted that Barron has already built a sizable personal fortune, much of it tied to his knowledge and early involvement in cryptocurrency. During a September 2024 event launching the family’s own crypto venture, Donald joked about his son’s expertise. “He’s got four wallets or something, and I’m saying, ‘What is a wallet?’ ” he said.
Barron has reportedly played a key role in expanding his family’s interest in digital assets. The president’s own net worth has risen by billions over the past year, largely due to crypto investments and international licensing deals.
While details of Barron’s first year of college remain mostly private, he has spent considerable time focusing on his budding financial ventures as well as enjoying family time. For now, dating doesn’t seem to be a priority. According to those familiar with his life, he is concentrating on school, close family relationships, and building his own career path.
