Tom Brady’s new CardVault shop in New York City was robbed on Oct. 20, according to a Nov. 12 news release from the New York Police Department.
Authorities say a male suspect stole $9,710 worth of collectible baseball and Pokémon cards around 11:40 a.m. He initially attempted to pay with a credit card, but when the transaction was declined, he allegedly began manually entering prompts on the payment terminal to bypass the decline — without the employee noticing.
After leaving the store, the suspect headed south on Lafayette Street. No injuries were reported.

The individual is currently being investigated for grand larceny. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt, black shorts, white socks, white sneakers and carrying a multicolored bag.
The NYPD’s Financial Crimes Task Force is handling the investigation, as reported by ABC News.
CardVault currently operates nine stores, and its SoHo location opened on Oct. 8. The brand allows customers to buy, sell, trade and grade sports cards and collectibles. Brady obtained a 50% stake in the company in February, according to a company press release.
