While she did not show the full extent of his injuries, she briefly shared a healing progress photo and expressed immense relief that the bite narrowly missed his eye.

She described the dog as a cherished companion of 12 years, but one who had recently become increasingly sensitive, arthritic, and reactive to movement and noise in their home. She explained that this was not an isolated occurrence. “It’s just not safe to have him around my kids anymore,” she said, adding that rehoming a senior dog with a bite history did not feel like a humane option.
