Taylor Swift Cheers as Travis Kelce and the Chiefs Beat the Colts in Overtime, Despite the Tight End’s Touchdown Being Negated

Taylor Swift went all-in on celebration Sunday as Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs secured a needed home win over the Indianapolis Colts.

The 35-year-old star attended the Nov. 23 game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, watching from a suite. In video shared online, Swift was seen bouncing with excitement as the game unfolded, even turning to playfully shake the man beside her who appeared to be her father.

For the matchup, she leaned into Chiefs colors with a gold jacket accented in white and red, finished off with her signature red lip. Swift recently released her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, on Oct. 3.

Kelce, 36, looked poised to add another highlight early. He caught a first-quarter touchdown, but officials wiped it out after calling offensive lineman Jawaan Taylor for a facemask. The 15-yard penalty negated the score, and replays shown in the stadium prompted boos from some fans who felt the footage didn’t clearly show a grab—only Taylor’s arm across Colts defensive lineman Kwity Paye’s helmet. Had it stood, the play would have marked Kelce’s 85th career touchdown.

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on Aug. 26. A few days later, Kelce spoke about the moment on New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, saying he still feels “giddy” when he thinks about it. When his brother Jason, 37, brought it up, Kelce thanked fans for the support and said he’s been enjoying sharing the news about “who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.”

Jason pressed him with a smile: “Don’t you get giddy saying it?”
“Yeah, I do,” Kelce replied. “I still get giddy—exciting times.”

Swift also touched on their bond during an October appearance on BBC Radio 2’s The Scott Mills Breakfast Show, describing how their shared passion for their work brings them closer.

“I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music,” she said. “That’s the coolest thing about Travis… he is so passionate about what he does, that me being passionate about what I do, it connects us.”
