Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson are engaged.
On Monday, Dec. 15, President Donald Trump announced at the White House that his eldest son and the socialite are engaged, according to a video Laura Loomer published on X.
“I’m not usually at a loss for words, because I’m usually doing the ranting and raving really well,” Donald Jr., 47, said during the announcement. “I want to thank Bettina for that one word: ‘Yes.’”
Anderson then shared her own message, saying, “This has been the most unforgettable weekend. I get to marry the love of my life, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Thank you.”
Donald Jr. was previously married to ex-wife Vanessa Trump. The two were married for 12 years before she filed for divorce in 2018. They share five children: Kai, 18, Donald III, 16, Tristan, 14, Spencer, 13, and Chloe, 11.
In 2018, Donald Jr. began dating Kimberly Guilfoyle, and the pair became engaged in 2020. Without formally announcing a breakup, the outlet reported in December 2024 that Donald Jr. and Anderson had been dating for about six months.
Donald Jr. and Anderson were first spotted together on a brunch date in August 2024, according to photos obtained by the Daily Mail. At the time, he was still engaged to Guilfoyle.
In September 2024, sources said Donald Jr. and Guilfoyle were spending time apart, and they reportedly split in December 2024. Soon after, Trump nominated Guilfoyle to serve as the U.S. ambassador to Greece. (The Senate confirmed Guilfoyle’s nomination in September.)
Donald Jr. joined Anderson for her birthday dinner in Palm Beach, Fla., in December 2024. He also brought Anderson as his guest to the family’s New Year’s Eve celebration at Mar-a-Lago.
Anderson then accompanied Donald Jr. to his father’s presidential inauguration in January 2025. The following month, a source said, “Bettina seems great for him.”
Anderson is the daughter of philanthropists Harry Loy Anderson Jr. and Inger Anderson.
She is an advocate for Audrey Gruss’ mental health foundation, Hope for Depression Research Foundation, which funds medical research related to depression, and she’s a driving force behind Project Paradise, a Florida conservation effort. She also spends time with the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County “every week,” a Palm Beach source previously said.
