Joe Biden has mostly stayed out of the spotlight since President Donald Trump began his second term in January. But on December 14, the former president made a rare public appearance at a Philadelphia Eagles game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Jason Dumas, a reporter from 6ABC Action News, shared a video showing a brief exchange with Biden during the game. In the clip, Biden appears upbeat, speaks warmly about the Eagles, and even joins in with the familiar “go birds” chant.

That moment quickly became fuel for online commentary — including plenty of trolling, and plenty of comparisons to Trump. One user claimed Biden looked better than the 79-year-old president, despite being older and reportedly dealing with cancer.

“83 years old with cancer and he looks better than Trump lol,” wrote the netizen.

Another commenter argued that Biden seemed to be thriving in spite of health concerns.

“When life throws cancer at you, but you still glow up,” they wrote.

The chatter arrives amid ongoing speculation about Trump’s health. The president recently had a social media outburst after users questioned his fitness, which only intensified the conversation online.

Trump has often been seen wearing a bandage and has occasionally also used makeup on his right hand. Critics have also pointed to moments when he appeared to fall asleep during cabinet meetings, adding more ammunition for those questioning his condition.

Some users also contrasted Biden’s calm, low-key presence at the Eagles game with Trump’s performance as the coin-tosser at the Army vs. Navy football game on December 13. During the ceremony, Trump awkwardly tossed the coin, and it appeared to drop without making any visible revolutions.

One user framed the difference as a tale of two public images — poking fun at Trump’s well-known Diet Coke habit and his tendency to hold grudges, while describing Biden as more energetic.

“Ah, the coin toss catastrophe vs. Biden’s Eagles charm offensive. Trump’s got the energy of a man who’s been mainlining Diet Coke and grudges since 2016. Joe? Still got that Scranton spring in his step. Keep it up, Mr. President,” read the tweet.

Another person praised Biden for keeping the attention on the game rather than on himself — implying Trump had done the opposite during the coin toss.

“No red carpet or attention-hogging behavior like Trump yesterday. Just there to cheer on his team and enjoy America’s game.” they wrote on X.

Whatever your politics, the reactions underline how sharply online audiences continue to frame Trump and Biden as opposites — not only in policy and style, but also in how they carry themselves in public.
