Dog Influencer Raffie Dies Suddenly on Christmas Eve

A popular dog on social media has died unexpectedly, according to his owner’s emotional post.

Maren Peeters, who runs the TikTok account bundleofbullies, said her dog Raffie died on Christmas Eve after suffering a heart attack while she was out of town. Peeters explained in a tearful video that she was traveling in Austria for the holiday when she received a call from the dog daycare where Raffie and her other dogs were staying.

According to Peeters, staff told her that her other dog, Pickles, attempted to “attack Raffie,” and that Raffie then suffered a heart attack.

“I never imagined that I would have to make this video,” Peeters said through tears.

Peeters added that the daycare owner tried to perform CPR on Raffie, but said Pickles wanted to “attack further.” Another one of her dogs, Odin, was also involved in the incident and was taken to a veterinarian soon afterward.

“Let’s be clear, they never do anything like that when they’re with me,” Peeters said.

The creator, who has built a following of more than 1.5 million with videos of her rescued American bulldogs, called Raffie her “best friend” and said she “cannot live without him.”

Peeters said she planned to fly home to be with her other dogs as quickly as possible. She also thanked followers for the support they showed Raffie, adding that she intends to keep posting videos with her other dogs in his honor.

Peeters and her dogs have attracted a wide audience for their affectionate, lighthearted videos — including several clips of Raffie trying new foods for the first time.

One of the duo’s most popular posts from June earned more than 140,000 likes and showed Raffie — sometimes nicknamed “Mr. One Toof” online for his crooked smile — trying a dog-safe chocolate treat made partially from fish. In the video, Raffie grabs the entire bar from Peeters and gulps it down in a single bite.

Another well-loved video from 2023 featured Raffie sampling a McDonald’s cheeseburger for the first time.

In a follow-up post after announcing Raffie’s death, Peeters shared a montage of favorite moments, including Raffie riding in a kayak, gazing out the car window during drives, and cuddling and kissing his owner.

“It’s so unreal, the love on social media is warming but I wish I could bring you back,” she wrote. “I wish I could tell you one last time how much I love you!”
