Beckett DeJean, brother of Philadelphia Eagles player Cooper DeJean, has been arrested in Iowa.
Beckett, 20, was taken into custody and charged with a first-offense operating while intoxicated (OWI), according to booking records from the Ida County Sheriff’s Office.
The record shows he was booked into jail at 1:09 a.m. local time on Sunday, Jan. 11.
In Iowa, a first-offense OWI can lead to fines, a driver’s license suspension, and possible jail time, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation.
Beckett did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Jan. 11. It is unclear whether he has legal representation who could speak on his behalf.

Beckett has been involved with the University of South Dakota football program, the Coyotes. In 2024, he did not appear in any games, instead working on the scout team. The year before, he participated on the scout team and took part in practices throughout the season, according to the school’s website.
Before his arrest, Beckett posted on Instagram Stories celebrating his brother’s NFL role, resharing an Eagles post that described Cooper DeJean and quarterback Quinyon Mitchell as the team’s “All-Pro Duo.”
Cooper DeJean, 22, is a cornerback for Philadelphia. He previously played defensive back at the University of Iowa.
He was selected by the Eagles in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft and went on to help the team win Super Bowl LIX as a rookie.
