Carissa Duke is already passing along a key lesson to her daughters: it’s okay to slow down and take a self-care day.
In December, the creator posted an Instagram video featuring a charming toy self-care set her daughter Capri — now 5 months old — received for Christmas. Made by Fisher-Price, the kit includes pretend spa essentials like a toy mirror, a toy ice roller, and toy cucumber slices, plus other playful items for a mini at-home “spa day.”
In the clip, Duke first shows the set, then cuts to the results. Capri is bundled in a tan blanket on the floor, clutching the toy ice roller in her hand. Toy cucumber slices rest gently on her face, and a small brush and baby moisturizer sit nearby. Duke added a playful note over the video: “…but what girl doesn’t love self care?”
She also expanded in her caption, writing, “Babygirls first Christmas prezzy. Teaching her to spoil and be spoiled at an early age. This came with a full baby massage from mama 🫶🏼🥒🫧.”
Duke says self-care days are a meaningful part of life at home — and she wants her daughters to grow up with that mindset.
“At our house, self-care days are kind of a big deal — and I want my girls to grow up knowing how special it is to take care of themselves,” she says.
She adds that Capri’s older sister, Chloe, picked out the Fisher-Price Sensory Self-Care set as a first Christmas gift, and Capri has been especially taken with the ice-roller rattle. Duke says the baby was so relaxed during her first “spa day” with mom that she even drifted off to sleep.

Looking ahead, Duke says she’s excited to turn it into a tradition with both girls — a simple, sweet way to teach them early that taking care of themselves is a form of love.
