Attorney General Pam Bondi was reportedly furious after a federal magistrate judge in Minnesota declined to approve the Justice Department’s initial effort to bring charges against Don Lemon. (The Washington Post)

CNN reported that Bondi was “enraged” by the judge’s decision, citing a source familiar with the reaction.

Lemon drew the government’s attention after he arrived to cover anti-ICE protesters who disrupted a service at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. Lemon has said he was there solely to document events as a journalist. (The Washington Post)

“I’m just here photographing, I’m not part of the group… I’m a journalist,” Lemon said at the time of the protest.

Without addressing the specific details of Lemon’s situation, Bondi said Thursday that the DOJ had arrested Nekima Levy Armstrong, alleging she played a key role in organizing what Bondi described as a “coordinated attack” on Cities Church. (Axios)
