One of three girls who went missing from a behavioral health facility in Portsmouth, Virginia, has been found safe, police said.

The Portsmouth Police Department announced Friday, Jan. 23, that 14-year-old Jocelyn Krofek “has been located and is safe.”

Krofek was one of three girls reported missing around 7:30 a.m. local time on Sunday, Jan. 18, in the area of Fort Lane in Portsmouth, according to police. Authorities have said all three are considered runaways.

Two other girls — 12-year-old Forever Scott and 16-year-old Darsha McAllister — remain missing. Police have classified Scott as endangered due to her age.

Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center CEO Freddie Anderson told NBC affiliate WAVY that the three girls are residents of Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center in Portsmouth.

Tammy Krofek, Jocelyn’s grandmother and legal guardian, told CBS affiliate WTKR that she said Harbor Point did not contact her after her granddaughter disappeared.

She also said Jocelyn — who previously ran away on New Year’s Eve but returned after a few hours — may have tried to call her from a private or blocked number.

“Had they called me when she disappeared, I would have answered those calls,” Tammy told WTKR.

In a statement, Harbor Point said its staff “responded immediately by informing local law enforcement and the patients’ guardians,” adding that the facility is cooperating with the Portsmouth Police Department as officers work to locate the remaining two girls.

The facility also said it could not discuss individual cases because of patient privacy laws and reiterated that it is committed to caring for adolescents with complex mental health needs.

Police announced Krofek was found a day before a major winter storm was expected to impact Virginia. Authorities did not immediately respond to requests for comment about the ongoing search for the two remaining girls.

Scott was last seen wearing navy blue pants and a Jordan brand shirt. She is described as 5 feet, 2 inches tall and 129 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair worn in two cornrows.

McAllister is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 188 pounds, with brown eyes and orange hair. She was last seen wearing pink pajama pants and a tan shirt with the word “California” printed on it.
