DNA evidence that does not match Nancy Guthrie or people known to be in close contact with her has been recovered from her property, authorities said Friday, Feb. 13.

Investigators said they are working to identify who the DNA belongs to, but did not disclose where on the property it was found.

Authorities also said multiple gloves have been collected during the investigation, with the closest located about two miles from Guthrie’s home. They added that reports claiming a glove was found inside the residence or on the property are incorrect. All evidence gathered so far has been submitted for laboratory testing, and investigators said they are not ruling out any individuals or scenarios.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, the mother of Today co-host Savannah Guthrie, was last seen at her Tucson, Arizona, home on the night of Jan. 31. Her family reported her missing around noon the next day.

Sheriff Chris Nanos previously said blood matching Nancy’s DNA was found on the exterior porch of her home, though her whereabouts remain unknown. Authorities have said gloves and other evidence connected to the case are undergoing forensic analysis.

As the investigation continues, ransom notes allegedly connected to her disappearance were reportedly sent to multiple media outlets. The FBI has said those notes are being investigated and that it is not aware of any direct communication between the alleged kidnapper or kidnappers and the Guthrie family.

The FBI has also released surveillance video showing a masked, armed person appearing to tamper with a Nest camera at Nancy’s front door on the morning of her reported kidnapping. The agency described the suspect as a male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with an average build, wearing a black 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack.

Savannah Guthrie has shared images and video of the suspect and urged the public to help identify the person, writing that someone may recognize them. “We believe she is still out there. Bring her home,” she wrote.

The FBI is offering a $100,000 reward for information that leads to Nancy Guthrie’s recovery or an arrest in the case.
