Stephanie Pratt is urging people not to support her brother Spencer Pratt’s run for mayor of Los Angeles, making a series of serious allegations against him.
More than a month after Spencer, 42, announced his mayoral campaign, Stephanie, 39, criticized his bid in multiple posts on X shared Saturday, Feb. 14. She suggested he is running to “stay famous,” and argued that the city needs experienced leadership.
In her posts, Stephanie also laid out what she called “a history of Spencer,” alleging that he assaulted her when she was 18 and that she was hospitalized as a result. She also claimed he got her “hooked” on drugs when she was a teenager and said he had a “hidden drug addiction.” In another post, she alleged he had been involved with a cult and suggested his past made him unfit for office.

Stephanie acknowledged that her brother has been active around issues affecting Pacific Palisades, referencing his efforts following the fire that destroyed his home. Still, she wrote that Los Angeles “does not need another unqualified and inexperienced mayor,” adding that supporting him would be “a vote for stupidity.”
She added that, in her view, Pacific Palisades would ideally have its own leadership and said she could see him taking on a role focused on that area—but not governing the entire city. “I have no problem with Spencer playing government,” she wrote, “but our city needs help.”
Stephanie also claimed that he is pursuing the campaign to promote his memoir, The Guy You Loved to Hate: Confessions from a Reality TV Villain, released in January.
Addressing online backlash to her posts, Stephanie reiterated that she would not support him, citing her allegations about the incident when she was 18. She also referenced his long-running public feud with former costar Lauren Conrad, saying she has always sided with Conrad and criticizing what she described as past efforts to damage Conrad’s life for publicity.

Stephanie further pointed to a past arrest in Costa Rica. Spencer has previously said he was arrested there in 2010 for felony possession of a firearm, though it remains unclear what legal outcome followed.
In a final post, Stephanie said her comments were not an attempt to draw attention to herself. She wrote that she is focused on becoming a Registered Behavior Technician and wants to work with children and adults with autism, adding that she is serious about building a new career helping others.
The siblings have publicly clashed before, and Stephanie’s latest posts continue a long history of tension between them, as well as with Spencer’s wife, Heidi Montag.
