CONCORD, N.H. — Elijah Blue Allman, the musician and son of pop icon Cher, was arrested Friday evening after allegedly causing a significant disturbance at St. Paul’s School, a prestigious private boarding school in Concord. Allman, 49, faces multiple charges including assault and criminal trespassing following the incident in the campus dining hall.
Incident at St. Paul’s School
The Concord Police Department (CPD) responded to reports of an “unwanted guest” at the elite institution at approximately 6:00 p.m. local time on February 27. According to police statements and local reports, Allman allegedly acted belligerently and created a disruption within the school’s dining facilities.
Authorities confirmed that Allman has no known connection to the school, which serves high-school-age students. The motivation for his presence on the private campus remains unclear.
Legal Charges and Release
Following the confrontation, Allman was taken into custody and charged with:
- Two counts of simple assault
- Criminal trespassing
- Criminal threatening
- Disorderly conduct
Allman was processed at the Merrimack County Jail. He was subsequently released on personal recognizance bail, a legal agreement where the defendant is not required to pay a cash bond but must pledge to appear at all future court proceedings.

A Pattern of Erratic Behavior
This arrest marks the latest in a series of public struggles for the musician. In June 2024, Allman was hospitalized in California after San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call regarding erratic behavior. At the time, authorities reported finding drugs at the residence where Allman was located.
The incident also follows a high-profile legal battle between Allman and his mother. In December 2023, Cher, 79, filed for a temporary conservatorship over her son’s estate, citing concerns regarding his mental health and substance abuse. While the petition was voluntarily dismissed in September 2024 after the parties reached a private agreement, this latest arrest suggests ongoing challenges for the heir to the Allman and Cher legacies.
