President Donald Trump has unveiled the architectural vision for his presidential library: a massive, glass-encased skyscraper set to redefine the Miami waterfront. The reveal, shared via social media by the President and Eric Trump on March 30, introduces a structure that mirrors the scale of New York’s One World Trade Center, complete with a red, white, and blue spire.

The proposed “Donald J. Trump Presidential Library” serves as both an archive and a museum of his administration. According to the renderings produced by architecture firm Bermello Ajamil, the building features a lobby large enough to house a Boeing 747 gifted by Qatar.

Inside, the design leans heavily into the President’s signature aesthetic. Highlights include:

  • A towering gold statue of Trump within a central auditorium.
  • A replica of the golden escalator from Trump Tower.
  • A “Presidential Walk of Fame” and a recreation of the proposed White House Ballroom.

Eric Trump, who has spearheaded the project over the last six months, described the landmark as a “lasting testament” to the President’s legacy as a developer and world leader.

The announcement arrives as the Obama Presidential Center prepares for its June 19 opening on Chicago’s South Side. The Trump campaign has already used the reveal to draw sharp contrasts, labeling the Obama Center’s granite obelisk “prison-like” while promoting the Miami skyscraper as a superior “metaphor” for their respective presidencies.

While the Obama Center will feature public parks and an athletic center, the Trump Library focuses on high-altitude opulence and maritime views.

Despite the grand visuals, the project faces mounting scrutiny from Capitol Hill. The library is partially funded by millions of dollars in legal settlements from media and tech giants, including ABC, Meta, X, and Paramount.

Democratic Senators Elizabeth Warren and Richard Blumenthal have raised questions regarding the “Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Fund,” which they claim “dissolved” without a transparent paper trail. In a March 11 statement, lawmakers expressed concerns over potential corruption, citing a lack of clarity regarding the location of the settlement funds.

The Trump organization has dismissed these claims as political maneuvers. A spokesperson for the library stated that the original fund was “preliminary” and has been succeeded by a formal 501(c)(3) foundation. The new entity, the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Foundation, Inc., is now the primary vehicle for donations and settlement transfers.

White House spokesperson Davis Ingle maintained that the building will be “one of the most magnificent in the world,” asserting that the project stands as a tribute to the “forgotten men and women” of the country.
