Zac Affleck Shares Adorable New Photos of Baby Daughter Penelope: ‘One Week with Our Penny Girl’

Zac Affleck is soaking up every moment with his newest bundle of joy.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 28, took to Instagram on Sunday, July 6, to share a heartwarming series of photos celebrating one week with his newborn daughter, Penelope Phyliss Affleck. Zac and his wife, Jen Affleck, 26, welcomed their third child on July 2.

In the post, Zac beams as he cradles Penelope at the hospital, wrapped in a towel. Other sweet snapshots show their baby girl snoozing peacefully, stretching, and even flashing what looks like a tiny smile at home.

“One week with our Penny girl 🤍 See the last video to get her thoughts on reality TV 😂😝,” Zac captioned the post.

That last video shows Zac holding a sleepy Penelope while watching The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reunion episode. He jokingly looks into the camera and asks, “Who are these people?” as Jen laughs off-camera. “These people are crazy,” she chimes in, flipping the camera to show her amused reaction.

Zac and Jen, who also share daughter Nora, 3, and son Luca, 23 months, celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary earlier this year. They shared news of Penelope’s birth in a joint post, offering fans a glimpse into her arrival and Jen’s experience giving birth.

“Baby Penelope is here 🤍 & she is perfect,” Jen wrote at the time. “Going unmedicated was truly the most painful but empowering experience of my life. I could not have done it without Zac and my supportive doula! I’m so grateful and so happy that Penny is earth side now🤍.”

Photos from that post included raw moments of labor and Penelope’s first moments after birth.

The couple’s journey to baby number three wasn’t without challenges. During season 2 of SLOMW, Jen revealed she discovered she was pregnant while she and Zac were separated, leading to a tearful, emotional confession.

“I started feeling depressed and anxious because my life has been really rocky and all over the place,” Jen said in the series. “Because Zac and I aren’t on the best of terms. And I think the last thing we need is another baby.”

Despite the uncertain start, the couple appears to be in a happy place now, enjoying life with their newborn. And Jen’s energy hasn’t faded — just days after the SLOMW reunion aired, she shared a lighthearted video dancing in her hospital gown while Zac held Penelope nearby.

“My pelvic floor might not be ready… but I sure am 👀💃🪩 @dancingwiththestars,” Jen captioned the clip. Zac joked in the comments, “The doctor coming in 5 minutes prior and telling you no physical activity for 6 weeks 😂😂.”

The couple’s full-circle moment — from separation to a joyful new addition — has quickly made little Penny a fan favorite.
