Two American tourists accidentally ended up 500 miles away from their intended destination after boarding the wrong flight.
Brittney Dzialo explained in a series of TikTok videos on her account @brittneydzialo_ that she and her friend Hannah were in Rome, Italy, planning to fly to France when the mistake happened.
She recorded the moment they asked another passenger to confirm they were on a flight to Nice, France—but were quickly corrected that the plane was actually going to Tunis, Tunisia.
“Where’s Tunis?” Hannah asked as she and Brittney looked at a map on her phone.
A flight attendant then checked their tickets and confirmed they were heading to Africa. Another crew member told them to stay on the plane and take a transfer flight once they arrived in Tunis.

“The airline employee misheard us and booked us a flight to Tunisia, Africa, instead of Nice, France,” the caption on the video read. “The whole plane watched our panic and either found it funny or annoying.”
In a follow-up video, Brittney explained to an airport employee in Tunisia how the mix-up happened.
“We missed the flight, so the airline employee in Rome rescheduled us,” one of them said. “But when they rescheduled our flight, they thought we said Tunis, Africa, but no, we said Nice, France. So they gave us the wrong flight.”
After talking to several airport staff, Brittney and Hannah were finally booked on a flight to France. They also complained about having to pay for the trip, even though the mistake was reportedly the airport employee’s fault.
Brittney joked in a later video while boarding the plane to France that she had “PTSD” from the stressful experience.

The comment sections of their videos were full of people surprised by how the pair ended up in this situation.
“You should be embarrassed at the number of things you just didn’t read to catch this problem earlier,” one person wrote.
“I’m confused?! The amount of signs, airport staff and gates, etc. How do you get on the wrong flight? Your boarding pass has all of your details and the workers would know it’s the wrong flight before you get anywhere near the plane,” another commented.

“They are not on the wrong flight, they bought the wrong ticket,” a third added. “The attendant looked at the ticket and confirmed that this plane goes where the ticket says.”
“Honestly, you should have just rolled with it and explored Tunisia for a few days before going to France,” another commenter suggested.
