On The View this week, cohost Ana Navarro shared a humorous account of a recent dinner outing with fellow panelist Joy Behar, describing how Behar made a series of requests that kept the staff at Porter House—a New York City steakhouse—on their toes.

Navarro told viewers that during their dinner, Behar had complaints about the restaurant’s environment, prompting several adjustments throughout the evening.

“First it was too hot, so she asked them to turn it down,” Navarro said. “Then it was too loud, so she asked them to lower the music. Then it was too bright, so she had them put the shades down!”

Behar confirmed the story and added that they even brought their dogs to the restaurant. “They let the dogs come,” she said, with a smile.

The exchange came after Behar teased Navarro for barely touching her meal, joking, “I’ve dined with supermodels who ate more than you did.”

Navarro also mentioned that Porter House, which is reportedly set to close soon, is one of Behar’s favorite spots. Behar expressed disappointment at the news, blaming the closure on “incredibly high rent” and noting her affection for the staff, including the waiters, maître d’s, and sommelier.

“I love that place,” Behar said. “I resent that it’s closing.”

The segment added to Behar’s well-documented reputation for being outspoken about her preferences—from food to lighting to shampoo bottles. As fellow panelist Alyssa Farah Griffin quipped during the discussion, “She’s Joy Behar! She’s earned it.”
