Taylor Swift helped make Christmas especially meaningful for Arrowhead Stadium employee Robyn Gentry.

Gentry previously shared on Facebook that she received a $600 tip from Swift on Christmas Day, after the pop superstar showed appreciation to stadium staff while attending the Kansas City Chiefs’ final home game of 2025 to support her fiancé, Travis Kelce.

Speaking with TMZ, Gentry said the generous gesture came at a deeply emotional time for her family. Just months before the holidays, her children lost their grandmother.

“They knew she was ill, but it was unexpected, and she passed,” Gentry explained. “Grandma was the one who made everything magical. She decorated the whole house and made Christmas so wonderful.”

With the loss still fresh, Gentry said she was determined to give her children the best holiday she could. “Everything is hard now,” she said. “I just wanted to give those kids the best Christmas possible, so I did everything I could with what I had saved.”

The encounter with Swift, she added, brought an extra layer of joy to an already emotional season. “If Christmas needed to be any more magical than what we could’ve made it—other than Grandma being there—that moment just topped it all,” she said.

“I don’t think there’s anything cooler I could’ve done on Christmas than come home with that story,” Gentry continued. She emphasized that Swift’s kindness went far beyond obligation. “She didn’t have to do that. We weren’t working for her. We hadn’t even interacted with her during the game. She genuinely didn’t have to do that for anybody.”

Gentry noted that stadium employees take pride in creating a great experience for everyone who attends games. “That’s our job,” she said. “I’m just grateful we got to experience something like that together.”

She also shared a message directly for Swift: “I hope she knows—thank you so much.”

In her original Facebook post, Gentry recalled seeing Donna Kelce before spotting Travis Kelce and Swift, and said the singer was moving through the area wishing people a Merry Christmas before handing out tips.

“My whole paycheck for two weeks,” Gentry wrote, noting she had just spent that amount on Christmas for eight children. “I immediately started crying. I came home and couldn’t bring myself to spend it.”

She added that she framed one of the bills and has yet to use the money.

Swift has made several charitable gestures throughout the holiday season, including donations to Nashville’s Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, Kansas City-based Operation Breakthrough, and national organizations such as Feeding America, the American Heart Association, MusiCares, the CMA Foundation, and ACM Lifting Lives.
