A 15-year-old boy died after what police described as a “senseless” stabbing in London — and two men are now facing murder charges.
Adam Henry, 15, was stabbed in London’s Islington borough on Dec. 9 at around 1:00 p.m., according to a Dec. 28 release from the Metropolitan Police.
On Dec. 15, 20-year-old Tsidi Winion was charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon. He remains in custody ahead of trial.
A second suspect, 22-year-old Abdel Derdour, was arrested on Dec. 26 following a two-week search. On Dec. 28, he was charged with murder and is scheduled to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Dec. 29.
Multiple other people were also arrested as the investigation continued. Daniel Williams, 39, was arrested alongside Derdour at a property in northwest London and has been charged with fraud, theft, dangerous driving and taking without the owner’s consent. Police said three other individuals — two men and a woman — were arrested and later released on bail.

Police said Henry was taken to the hospital by the London Ambulance Service but later died. Specialist officers are supporting his family.
“Our thoughts remain with Adam’s loved ones throughout this unimaginably difficult time,” Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo said. “There is no place for senseless acts of violence on our streets — and those responsible for such crimes should be brought to justice.”
Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, said officers worked for weeks to locate Derdour and alleged the suspect attempted to avoid capture.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information connected to the case to come forward.

In a statement shared on Dec. 11, Henry’s family remembered him as “a loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, friend,” adding that they will “never recover from the loss and not having him in our lives.”
“He had many interests and was always there with a smile and cheeky sense of humor,” the family said. “He was good natured and loyal. While only 15 years old, the beautiful memories we have of him can never be forgotten.”
They also asked for privacy as they grieve “this senseless tragedy together.”
