Viewers who noticed a bride and groom during Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show were not imagining things. The couple featured onstage during the performance were, in fact, legally married in real time as part of the spectacle.

The halftime show, held at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, blended music, choreography, and surprise appearances with an unexpected ceremonial moment. During one segment, a couple dressed in traditional wedding attire sat at the edge of the stage beside a tiered wedding cake, briefly sharing a kiss before the performance continued.

Their presence was not symbolic. According to information released after the show, the two individuals were a real-life couple whose names have not been publicly disclosed. The ceremony was integrated into the live broadcast, making it one of the more unconventional moments in Super Bowl halftime history.

As the couple stepped aside, a guest performer emerged and joined Bad Bunny for a song accompanied by a live band. The performance continued with dancers and celebrity cameos appearing throughout the set, while the newly married couple remained visible during parts of the show.

A post-event statement explained how the moment came together. The couple had initially invited the artist to attend their wedding. Instead, they were invited to participate directly in the halftime production, where the marriage was carried out live onstage, complete with a cake and formal documentation. Bad Bunny was described as serving as a witness to the ceremony.

Beyond the wedding, the halftime show featured a mix of the artist’s well-known songs and brief nods to other influential Latin music tracks. The finale emphasized unity, with international flags displayed and a message promoting togetherness shown on the stadium’s video boards.

The moment added a personal and celebratory layer to a performance already notable for its scale, guest appearances, and cultural references.
