A bride-to-be got an unforgettable — and very unconventional — gift at her bachelorette party.

In a TikTok posted on Nov. 20, creator Monica San Luis shared a clip of herself and her friends reacting to a surprise they’d prepared ahead of her wedding: a compilation video of all of her ex-boyfriends sending congratulations to her and her fiancé.

“When your besties surprise you at your bachelorette with a video of all your exes wishing you + your fiancé the best,” she wrote over the video, as she covered her mouth in disbelief and her friends screamed, laughed, cringed and even tumbled out of their seats watching each ex appear on screen.

In the comments, viewers were sharply divided. Some called the idea “awkward” or even a “jump scare,” with a few saying they would hate to receive something similar or that it felt like “bad luck.” Others suggested that whoever organized it wasn’t acting like a true friend.

But plenty of people loved the chaotic energy of the gesture and saw it as harmless fun. One commenter said they’d be “cringing” the whole time but also extremely grateful for their current partner, adding that because they’re on good terms with their exes, they could easily imagine them taking part in a video like this.

Another viewer wondered why there was so much negativity around the idea, saying that exes are naturally going to say cringe-worthy things, and that the whole point is to laugh at it and feel thankful for the relationship you’re in now.

Some TikTok users were less focused on the emotions and more curious about the logistics. They joked about which friend was still in touch with all these former partners and pointed out that, in their own circles, most exes have long since blocked one another. Others admitted their own exes would likely be too bitter to participate — and that, even if they did, the video “would be very short.”
