Charlie Sheen is speaking out following the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, calling it a devastating moment for the country’s future.
During an appearance on Logan Paul’s “IMPAULSIVE” podcast, the former Two and a Half Men star reflected on Kirk’s legacy, saying his influence could have “easily” changed the course of American history. “It was like a giant star in the night sky just went dark,” Sheen said.
As a father of five and grandfather of three, Sheen shared his immediate thoughts when he learned the news: “Fatherless children, husbandless wife.”
Paul described Kirk as “a guy I always respected,” noting that while he didn’t always agree with him, Kirk was willing to engage in real conversations. Sheen agreed, recalling that many believed Kirk could have become president one day. “Seismic,” he said of the loss.
Sheen praised Kirk’s debate style, explaining that he didn’t try to demean or embarrass opponents. “He was just like, ‘Here’s what I’ve prepared. Here’s what I know. Here’s what I believe. Give me your side of it,’” Sheen said.

The actor also recalled being with Joe Rogan on The Joe Rogan Experience when they first heard the news. “We go out into the lobby and one of his security guards says he just died,” Sheen explained. Away from the cameras, Rogan turned to him and said, “We need to go back on the air and talk about this.”
Sheen agreed, though he admitted the moment left him shaken. “It’s just awful… what words can we attach to this that make it feel better for us, or his family, or just the moment? They haven’t been written, have they?”
Rogan, speaking about the assassination, warned of the dangerous climate it reflected. “There’s going to be a lot of people celebrating this,” he said. “It’s so scary. It’s so dangerous too, to celebrate or in any way encourage this kind of behavior.… He wasn’t a violent guy. He was talking to people on college campuses.”
Sheen echoed Rogan’s point, saying Kirk always seemed “reasonable,” even in disagreements.
On Sept. 10, Kirk was shot and killed while speaking in Orem, Utah. Authorities later identified the suspect as Tyler Robinson, 22, who now faces charges including aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, witness tampering, and committing a violent offense in front of children.
