A Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Boston took an unexpected turn when frontman Chris Martin appeared to unintentionally reveal an alleged affair between Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and the company’s HR head, Kristin Cabot.
While interacting with fans using the venue’s “kiss cam,” Martin’s attention turned to Byron and Cabot, who were seated together in the crowd. With Byron’s arm around Cabot, the singer remarked, “Oh look at these two,” drawing cheers and laughter from the audience.
What happened next only fueled speculation: both individuals quickly reacted—Cabot covered her face, and Byron ducked behind a barrier in an apparent attempt to avoid the camera. Martin, catching their awkward response, jokingly added, “Oh what… either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.”
The moment was captured on video and quickly went viral across platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok. Many users noted Byron is reportedly married, leading to widespread speculation and criticism online.
“Sorry for the wife but glad they’re being exposed and embarrassed,” one comment read.
Andy Byron has served as CEO of Astronomer, a software company, for nearly two years. Kristin Cabot is the firm’s Chief People Officer. As of now, neither has publicly responded to the viral footage or the mounting social media backlash.
