Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem criticized CBS on Sunday for how they edited her latest interview.

Noem appeared on CBS host Ed O’Keefe’s show, Face the Nation, to talk about President Donald Trump’s immigration policies. After the interview aired, she accused CBS of trying to hide her statements about Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a high-profile migrant who the Trump administration has tried to deport twice.

Noem shared her reaction on social media after the interview.

“This morning, I joined CBS to report the facts about Kilmar Abrego Garcia,” Noem wrote on her official X account. “Instead, CBS shamefully edited the interview to whitewash the truth about this MS-13 gang member and the threat he poses to American public safety.”

“Watch for the part of my interview that @CBS tried to cover up,” she added.

The part Noem pointed to included her claims about Abrego Garcia. She repeated that he is an MS-13 gang member—a claim the Trump administration knows is untrue—and said he has committed a wide range of other crimes.

Her comments come as the Trump administration continues trying to deport Abrego Garcia and thousands of other migrants quickly. Courts have often ruled against these efforts, saying the government does not give migrants a fair chance to defend themselves.

President Trump has previously accused companies like Paramount Global and Disney, which own ABC and CBS, of editing videos in a way that favors Democrats. Earlier this year, both networks paid $31 million to settle legal claims filed by Trump.
