Damson Idris’s teenage nephew has been identified as one of the youngest victims in a series of violent stabbings that shocked England over the weekend.

The British Transport Police (BTP) confirmed in a statement on Tuesday, Nov. 4, that a 17-year-old boy suffered facial injuries after being attacked with a knife on London’s Docklands Light Railway.

The assault occurred just hours before another string of stabbings was reported onboard an LNER train traveling from Doncaster to London King’s Cross.

Isaiah Ishmael Idris, 17 — the nephew of British actor Damson Idris, 34 — is believed to be among the youngest victims of the suspect accused of the attacks, according to the Metro and the Daily Mail.

After being assaulted around 12:46 a.m. local time on Saturday, Nov. 1, Isaiah reportedly staggered off the train at Pontoon Dock station and called the U.K. emergency number 999, per the Metro.

Suspect Anthony Williams, 32, allegedly fled the scene before officers arrived, but was later arrested the same day, according to the BTP.

Damson has not publicly commented on the incident. However, Isaiah’s other uncle, Habeeb Idris, confirmed the attack, telling the Daily Mail, “I am aware that Isaiah was involved in the incident on a train, but we are dealing with this privately as a family.”

The BTP also reported being alerted to another mass stabbing later that day at around 7:42 p.m. local time, this time onboard an LNER train. At least 10 people were found wounded and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to a previous police update.

Following multiple stabbing incidents between Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, Williams appeared before Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday, Nov. 3, charged with attempted murder.

As of Tuesday, seven victims had been discharged from the hospital. One train staff member remains in stable but critical condition, while three others are reported to be in stable condition, the BTP confirmed.

Deputy Chief Constable Stuart Cundy said in a statement, “The criminal investigation is a priority for BTP, and we are working closely with Cambridgeshire Constabulary and the Crown Prosecution Service.”

He added, “We have also initiated measures to increase the visibility of police officers across the railway network to reassure both rail staff and the traveling public.”
