Deion Sanders and actress Karrueche Tran are sparking romance rumors after Tran was seen tearfully supporting the football coach during his recent bladder cancer surgery.
In a video titled For Your Glory—produced by Sanders’ son, Deion Sanders Jr., and released by Well Off Media—Tran, 37, appeared at the Colorado Buffaloes coach’s side as he prepared for a life-altering procedure to remove his bladder. The video, posted Monday, documents Sanders’ emotional battle with cancer and his road to recovery.
Tran became visibly emotional in the footage, struggling to speak through tears as she addressed the camera. “We are dealing with bladder cancer,” she said, pausing to collect herself. “He is having his bladder removed, and they’re going to create a new bladder using part of his intestine.”
She added that this surgical option was “the best” choice to fully eliminate the cancer and prevent its return, noting the tumor’s proximity to muscle tissue.

Throughout the 18-minute documentary, Tran is seen by Sanders’ side—comforting him, holding his hand, and asking detailed questions about his recovery and test results. After the operation, she appeared relieved, smiling as she interacted with hospital staff and declined an offer for water. When told the cancer had been aggressive, she inquired about follow-up timelines and prognosis.
At one point, nurses are seen wheeling Sanders through the hospital, with Tran walking beside him, holding his hand.
The powerful footage has fueled speculation about the nature of their relationship, though neither Sanders nor Tran has publicly commented. PEOPLE has reached out to both for statements.
Tran, best known for her acting career and previous high-profile relationships with Chris Brown and Rob Kardashian, has largely kept her personal life out of the spotlight in recent years.
Sanders, 57, was previously engaged to Tracey Edmonds. The two announced their split in December 2023, saying they had “mutually decided that it is best for us to move forward in life as friends.”
The video’s release also coincided with Sanders’ public disclosure of his cancer diagnosis. During a press conference on Monday, Sanders and his doctor confirmed that the surgery was successful and that he is now cancer-free.
“I’m pleased to report that the results from the surgeries show that he is cured from the cancer,” said Dr. Janet Kukreja, director of urologic oncology at the University of Colorado Cancer Center.
Sanders reflected on the diagnosis with emotion: “When we hear that word, it’s usually a life sentence. But not this time. Not this time—because God got me.”
