Former President Donald Trump has strongly endorsed Breaking the Law: Exposing the Weaponization of America’s Legal System Against Donald Trump, the upcoming book by Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow. The book, based on a year-long investigation, alleges a coordinated legal campaign—dubbed a “lawfare superstructure”—aimed at targeting Trump and reshaping American politics.
Trump praised the exposé during a recent meeting in the Oval Office, calling it “a must-read.”
“It shows how corrupt our judicial system is in our country,” Trump said. “Cases are rigged left and right. Judge shopping is rampant at levels never seen before. You know the outcome of a case as soon as the judge is picked. And the radical left is using this, their final weapon, to take down America.”
Marlow expressed appreciation for the endorsement, saying Trump’s firsthand experience makes his support especially meaningful.
“Donald Trump has been the number one target for the left’s lawfare apparatus. No one knows the subject better than he does,” Marlow said. “It means a great deal to me to have his support.”
According to Marlow, Breaking the Law identifies key figures behind the legal efforts and outlines how institutions are allegedly being repurposed for political ends. The book draws on extensive research to argue that this legal “weaponization” poses a profound threat to democratic norms and conservative values.
“This book names names and casts a glaring spotlight on the lawfare operatives who hoped to remain hidden,” Marlow told Breitbart News. “The lawfare superstructure is, without a doubt, the biggest internal threat to our American way of life at this time.”
Published by Threshold Editions, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, Breaking the Law follows Marlow’s two previous bestsellers: Breaking the News and Breaking Biden. Both titles explored elite influence networks within media and politics and received praise from prominent conservatives, including Tucker Carlson and Mark Levin.
Peter Schweizer, president of the Government Accountability Institute and senior contributor to Breitbart, lauded Marlow for his fearless reporting.
“[Marlow] reports fearlessly, wherever the facts may lead, holding the most powerful people in the world to account,” Schweizer said.
Marlow became editor-in-chief of Breitbart News in 2013 at the age of 27. He also hosts The Alex Marlow Show, a daily news podcast.
Breaking the Law is scheduled for release later this year.
