Former Democratic National Committee (DNC) fundraiser Lindy Li is accusing party insiders of orchestrating what she calls a “left-wing massive conspiracy” to conceal President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline — a coordinated effort, she claims, that involved top party officials, paid influencers, and aggressive damage control.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Li — once a prominent DNC fundraiser and member of the National Finance Committee — claimed she was blacklisted from the Biden White House for raising concerns about the president’s age and mental fitness ahead of the 2024 election.
“I was banned for telling the truth when it mattered,” Li said. “I took a risk. Jake Tapper wrote a book after it was safe. I spoke up when the party was still pretending everything was fine.”
Li’s claims come a year after Biden’s catastrophic debate performance against Donald Trump — a moment that triggered the collapse of his reelection campaign. The fallout reignited questions about how long Democratic leaders had known about Biden’s health issues and what lengths they went to in order to keep them hidden.
Behind the Curtain
Li says party leaders were not only aware of Biden’s struggles but actively worked to keep them out of public view. She recalled how Sen. Tammy Duckworth privately expressed concerns about Biden’s age in 2022 — only to become his campaign co-chair a year later.
“That was the day she flipped,” Li said. “A full year later, he wasn’t getting any younger.”
She also alleged that DNC officials tightly controlled messaging about Biden, instructing surrogates and staff on how to respond to public doubts — including attacks on critics like Special Counsel Robert Hur, who famously described Biden as “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” in his report on the president’s handling of classified documents.
“We were told to destroy Hur’s character — to say Biden was brilliant behind closed doors,” Li said. “Basically, we were supposed to convince people that with age comes wisdom.”
Li claims she personally experienced the party’s clampdown on dissent. At a February 2024 fundraiser where both Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were present, Li says her phone was confiscated and she was warned not to post anything on social media. When she later shared a photo from another event, the DNC allegedly demanded she delete it.
“I wasn’t attacking anyone,” she said. “I just raised a question — maybe he should step down. The response was shocking.”
“It Was a Massive Operation”
According to Li, the DNC’s effort to prop up Biden extended beyond official party staff — including social media influencers, media figures, and outside consultants.
“They paid people to toe the line,” she said. “Do not tell me they didn’t — they literally paid me.”
After Biden’s disastrous debate, she recalled a tense campaign briefing from top advisers Jen O’Malley Dillon and Julie Rodriguez, where staffers were “misty-eyed” and some reportedly cried on the way home.
Despite the panic, Li said campaign officials insisted it was “impossible” for Biden to withdraw due to campaign finance rules — a claim that proved false when Biden ultimately exited the race.
Fallout and Denial
Li, who left the Democratic Party in December, said her decision to speak out has cost her friendships and professional standing. But she maintains the public deserves the truth.
“To be treated like a criminal just for asking if the president should step aside was jarring,” she said. “But the conspiracy to keep him propped up? That was real.”
When asked for comment about Li’s allegations, a former Biden official dismissed her entirely:

The DNC has not publicly responded to her claims.
