Investigators in Alabama say they are increasingly concerned about the disappearance of a 40-year-old woman and her two children, including a toddler, after authorities reported “signs of a struggle” inside the family’s home.
Mobile County deputies said Aurelia Choc Cac, 40, Niurka Zuleta Choc, 17, and Anthony Garcia Choc, 2, were last seen at their residence on Friday, Jan. 30, around 3 p.m., according to a statement from the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded Saturday to a report of a “suspicious disappearance” and later declared all three missing. Officials said there were “signs of a struggle” inside the home.
“We do believe the mother, daughter and son were taken against their will and we believe they could be in danger,” the sheriff’s office said.
