Hunter Biden has launched a scathing attack on actor and Democratic megadonor George Clooney, accusing him and other elite Democrats of helping push President Joe Biden out of the 2024 race.
Speaking on a podcast with YouTuber Andrew Callaghan, Hunter Biden, 55, addressed his family’s ongoing presence in headlines—from his legal troubles to his father’s decision to exit the presidential race. He didn’t hold back when discussing Clooney, who penned a widely discussed New York Times op-ed on July 10 urging Democrats to choose a new nominee.
“F— him and everybody around him, I don’t have to be f—ing nice,” Hunter said during the interview. “Number one, I agree with Quentin Tarantino—George Clooney is not a f—ing actor. He’s a brand.”
“Why the hell should I listen to him?” Hunter continued. “He’s Barack Obama’s buddy—f— you. What do you have to do with anything?”
Clooney, who hosted a high-profile fundraiser for Joe Biden on June 15 in Los Angeles, reportedly played a significant role in convincing top Democrats to pressure Biden to step aside. That event, where Biden appeared to freeze on stage, sparked widespread concern about the president’s stamina for another term.
Hunter didn’t stop at Clooney. He also took aim at prominent Democratic strategists and media figures, accusing them of profiting from politics or riding on others’ success:
- On James Carville: “He hasn’t won a race in 40 f—ing years.”
- On David Axelrod: “His only win was Obama—and that was because of Obama.”
- On Anita Dunn: “She’s made $40–50 million off the Democratic Party.”
- On CNN anchor Jake Tapper: “He has the smallest audience in cable news.”
Hunter Biden, who was convicted in June 2024 on charges related to drug use and a firearms license but later pardoned by his father, painted the Democratic establishment as self-serving and out of touch.
The podcast appearance marks one of Hunter’s most direct and unfiltered public statements since stepping back from the spotlight. His remarks underscore lingering tensions within the Democratic Party as it pivots toward a post-Biden election strategy with Kamala Harris now leading the ticket.
