Heather Rae El Moussa and Tarek El Moussa’s son Tristan is growing fast!
On Wednesday, Aug. 6, HGTV star Heather, 37, shared an Instagram carousel showing their 2-year-old son heading to a “drop in” day at preschool.
While Heather — who is also stepmom to Taylor, 14, and 9-year-old Brayden, whom Tarek, 43, shares with ex-wife Christina Haack — explained that Tristan isn’t quite ready for preschool yet, she couldn’t hide how proud she felt.
“My mama heart 🥹 My sweet boy had a ‘drop in’ at the sweetest little preschool today,” she wrote alongside a photo of Tristan holding matching school and lunch bags, dressed in a blue T-shirt, black shorts, and white sneakers with blue dolphins.
“Even though we are not ready for preschool just yet… I am so proud of him and so happy that he loved it so much,” she added. “And I’m proud of myself lol mama handled it well!”

The post ended with a sweet clip of Heather hugging Tristan and planting a kiss on his cheek.
Fans quickly flooded the comments, expressing surprise at how much Tristan has grown.
Actress Korrina Rico wrote, “Where did the time go 😢😢?”

This milestone follows a relatable moment Heather shared in July about how her Friday nights have changed since becoming a mom.

In an Instagram Reel, Heather showed a before-and-after: the first clip featured her partying with friends, then it switched to her and Tristan toasting with wine and snacks.
“Friday nights before kids,” she captioned the start of the video, finishing with “Friday nights now …”
“Friday nights used to mean heels, dinner reservations, and another round of drinks…,” Heather wrote. “Now it’s PJs by 7, a toddler dance party, and negotiating over bedtime snacks. 🍪🍼 Wouldn’t trade it for anything. #MomLife #FridayNightsNow.”
